Calculation method

The counter uses public dataset discovery and smooths changes between refreshes.

Simplified formula

Dataset count = latest public dataset count + detected growth between snapshots

Data sources

The source is the public Hugging Face dataset catalog or related public metadata.

Known limitations

The count may include duplicates, small datasets, inactive repositories or non-production resources.

Refresh and interpolation

The dataset count is refreshed periodically from the latest available public snapshot and is not interpolated live.
